On the occasion of the ICT 2009-2010 Fourth Call for Proposals, and following the success of the previous workshops organized since October 2004 onwards, CREATE-NET - in collaboration with Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A. and ICST - will host a thematic workshop on the following six priority areas:
1. *Internet of the Future and Converged Infrastructures *
2. *Assisted Living Sustainable Personalized Healthcare *
3. *ICT for Mobility and Safety*
4. *Spectrum and Radio for Internet of the Future *
5. *Networked Media and 3D Internet *
6. *ICT for Energy Efficiency *
The workshop will take place in Bergamo (Italy) on 6 and 7 November 2008, under the co-ordination of the Funding and Marketing team, and with the technical contribution of all CREATE-NET’s Research Areas.
The event is supported by ICST, a non-profit Institute for Computer Sciences, Social-Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering which sponsors ICT related research, innovation, business, technologies and their advancement in all sectors of society.
The event is also supported by Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A. and by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A. is the reference organisation of the E.U. for providing Enterprise Europe Network services in the Region Trentino Alto Adige. The Enterprise Europe Network is the largest network of contact points providing information and advice to EU companies on EU matters, in particular small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The network offers concrete and effective solutions to entrepreneurs and companies in more than 40 countries, including the 27 EU member states. Services provided by the network are:
support for the access to E.U. tools and policies
transnational commercial brokerage activities
transnational technology transfer brokerage activities
support for the access to VII Framework Program.
The last edition of CREATE-NET’s Funding Workshop was an overwhelming success with over 70 participants from Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Australia, Germany, Finland, Israel, and Austria, with discussions ranging from "The Network of the Future" to "Services and Software Architectures".
Our objective as organizers of this 2-day event is to make a real progress on proposals preparation in the mentioned above domains and become able to present clusters of proposals of high quality meeting the requirements of the Work Program and providing added value to the expected results.
There will be an opportunity to have up-dated presentations from EC officers and check the extent to which the project ideas meet the Commission requirements.
