Job Description
|
In the pre-proposal stage:
- Support in the identification of potential research funding opportunities from EU, Italian and other sources. Also identify the terms of the calls, info days, events, etc.;
- Where necessary, support Area Heads with pre-proposal meetings;
- Maintain records of research partners in order to be able to assist researchers to form high quality consortia based on intelligence gathered from past efforts.
In the proposal preparation:
- Help in preparing proposals for funded research from EU, Italian and other sources. In particular, write the management and administrative sections, work with the proposal manager to create the budget and make sure that the proposal efforts are coordinated and the proposal is produced on schedule at the highest quality level;
- Fill out the administrative documentation required by the funding sources;
- Maintain information for management about the proposals that are underway, including number of proposals, amount of potential funding per proposal, consortia, etc.
Negotiation phase:
- Support the Area Heads in the negotiation phase of proposal funding. In particular, attend pre-negotiation and negotiation meetings as necessary and assist in the preparation of consortium agreements, etc.
Project management:
- Understand the funding rules and make sure that these rules are adhered to;
- Provide the Area Heads and Project Managers with the necessary financial and administrative information. In particular, help the Area Heads develop a plan for the allocation of resources and a detailed project budgets, and then regularly determine actual expenditures versus the budget and identify if the project is significantly under or over budget.

Technical Skills
|
The candidates should have a University or Masters degree potentially in ICT, strong project management experience and at least 3 years experience in managing EU projects.
|
|
Organization Skills
|
Ability to work independently, strong interpersonal skills (proactive, creative and ambitious) and good writing and oral communication skills are necessary. Creative thinking, enthusiasm, can-do attitude, and relationships to help reach targeted stakeholders and potentials everywhere and build a world-class brand.

Languages
|
English language fluency (spoken and written) is essential.
