He worked as a Project Associate at IIT, Chennai, from Jan 2002 to Jun 2002. He was with Phillips Innovation Center, Bangalore, India, as Software Engineer from May 2002 to Sep 2002. He was with Institute for Infocomm Research (I 2 R), Singapore, from Sep 2002 to Dec 2006, as a senior research engineer and during the same time he also pursued the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore. Where, he is extensively involved in development of signaling protocols for GMPLS based optical network test-bed under Optical Network Focus Interest Group (ONFIG) and field trail activities in Singapore . These projects span across the island of Singapore and are being funded by the Agency for Science, Technology, and Research (A*Star), Singapore. Currently, he is working with Create-Net, Italy, on several industry founded projects such as impairment aware routing in optical networks, infrared optical wireless projects. He is also involved in several European funded project proposal preparations such as multi-domain multi-granularity optical networks and light-trails. He has over 55 journal and conference articles to his credit. In addition to the technical credentials, Dr. Saradhi has an extensive track record of service to the broader technical community. For example, he recently served as co-chair for IEEE/Createnet GOSP 2005 and 2006 workshops. In addition, he has extensive experience as co-guest editor for well-received and timely two special issues of the IEEE Communications Magazine (OCS) on Optical Networking Testbeds: Experiences, Challenges, and Future Directions (August 2005 and November 2005). He has also served on the technical program committee of many reputable international conferences/workshops including ICC, Globecom, Broadnets, etc., and served as a reviewer for many leading journals and conferences. His research interests include optical networks, GMPLS/MPLS networks, wireless sensor networks, and real-time systems. He is a member of IEEE. He can be reached at saradhi@ieee.org . |
